Scorpion Tongue
A C. chinense variety. Ripens to red, habanero-type pods, with tail. Rates 1,200,000–2,000,000 SHU, which means brutally hot, deep into superhot range. Scorpion peppers are named for the pointed tail at the bottom of the pod, curling like a scorpion's stinger.
