A C. chinense variety. Ripens to orange, habanero-type pods, with tail. Heat sits around 500,000–1,200,000 SHU — extremely hot, in superhot territory. Associated with Trinidad & Tobago. Scorpion peppers are named for the pointed tail at the bottom of the pod, curling like a scorpion's stinger.
