Volvye Ukho
Volovye Ukho ("Ox Ear" — a transliteration of Russian Воловье ухо) is a sweet pepper bred by Agrofirma Poisk and registered in the Russian State Register in 2007. Named for its long, drooping, slightly ribbed conical fruits that resemble an ox's ear. Mid-season plants reach 70 cm tall and produce thick-walled (6-8mm) red pods averaging 150g and 10-12 cm long, with sweet, juicy, meaty flesh. Yields 2-3 kg per plant; resistant to verticillium and phytoplasma. Popular in Eastern European home gardens for fresh eating, canning, and freezing. Heatless (0–100 SHU).
