A Spanish sweet pepper (C. annuum). "Dulce de España" (Sweet from Spain) is a mild, thick-walled elongated pepper in the tradition of Spanish pimiento varieties. Ripens from green to red with a sweet, rich flavor. Essentially heatless at 0–500 SHU. Used fresh, roasted, or in traditional Spanish dishes. Related to the pimiento piquillo family.
