Further InformationEdit Edit

The Mantis Claw is a hot chili of the species C. annuum, measuring 5,000–30,000 SHU — roughly 4× hotter than a jalapeño. It belongs to C. annuum, the most widely cultivated pepper species, spanning everything from sweet bell peppers to jalapeños, cayennes, and poblanos. Its pods take a standard tapered form, measure 2–4 inches long, with thin flesh, and grow pendant on the plant. The plant grows to 24–30 inches tall. Its flowers are solid white/cream, its foliage is green leaves. It is credited to Matt Garver (Matt's Peppers).
