Aji Cachucha Creole
A sweet, heatless C. chinense from Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, part of the Cachucha family of aromatic seasoning peppers. Cachucha peppers are the Caribbean equivalent of Aji Dulce — habanero-type aroma and fruity, floral flavor with essentially no capsaicin heat (0–1,000 SHU). The Creole designation indicates a specific Caribbean lineage. Used in Puerto Rican and Caribbean sofrito and cooking as a flavor base. Red-colored pods.
