A C. annuum Thai-type pepper with black/dark purple pods from Bangladesh. Small, upright bullet-shaped pods that ripen from black/purple to red. Very hot at 50,000–100,000 SHU. Part of the category of ornamental and culinary dark-podded Thai-type annuums. The black pigmentation (anthocyanin) fades as pods ripen to red. Used in Bangladeshi and South Asian cuisine; also grown as an ornamental.
