A hot C. pubescens, 30,000 to 100,000 SHU. The pods hang down, 2 to 3 inches long, green going to brown, apple-shaped with a matte skin and thick walls. Plants reach over 48 inches with purple flowers and hairy leaves. Bred by Unknown; introduced by German chili community.
Origin unknown. First documented and cultivated by German chili enthusiasts. Catalogued in the Pepperfriends Capsicum Database by "Oban" in 2018. Sold by Fatalii Seeds, Planting Justice, and Tradewinds Fruit. Produces large brown/chocolate apple-shaped pods typical of C. pubescens. Some natural color variation in pod color has been observed from the same seed stock.
