It belongs to C. annuum, the most widely cultivated pepper species, spanning everything from sweet bell peppers to jalapeños, cayennes, and poblanos. Its pods ripen orange, take a pequin/small bullet form, with thin flesh, and grow upright on the plant. Immature pods are green/mustard before ripening. The plant grows to 12–18 inches tall. It is recorded as originating in Thailand. It is also known as CM x Thai Orange Mutant.
