We always want more photos of Yellow Jalapeño. Every photo you add is credited to you.
A medium-heat C. annuum from Mexico, 5,000 to 8,000 SHU. The pods hang down, 2 to 3 inches long, green going to yellow, tapered with medium-thick walls. Plants reach 24 to 30 inches with white flowers.
A blunt, juicy, crunchy jalapeno that is sweeter than you would expect. Plants kept to about two feet by one still give good yields of normal-sized pods, so it suits small gardens.
Universal Pepper Nomenclature
One code for one pepper, no matter what people call it. Universal Pepper Nomenclature sits behind the names people use and describes the pepper itself: the species, the color it ripens to, its skin, the shape of the pod, and how hot it runs. The last three digits tell apart peppers that match on all of that.
Six parts, always in this order, always split by hyphens. The WikiPepper Foundation board issues every code. Editors cannot create or edit a code.
