The Jaloro Jalapeño is a medium-heat chili of the species C. annuum, measuring 2,500–8,000 SHU. It belongs to C. annuum, the most widely cultivated pepper species, spanning everything from sweet bell peppers to jalapeños, cayennes, and poblanos. Its pods ripen red, take a standard tapered form, measure 2–3 inches long, with medium thick flesh, and grow pendant on the plant. The plant grows to 24–30 inches tall.
