A medium-heat C. pubescens from Peru, 500 to 12,000 SHU. The pods hang down, 2 to 3 inches long, green going to orange, apple-shaped with a matte skin and thick walls. Plants reach over 48 inches with purple flowers and hairy leaves.
Sold as CAP 867, of unknown origin. Short, stocky, round pods sometimes stop at yellow, with an occasional red plant. Flavourful, though some pods bite hard. Medium walls dry on the plant. Plants reach 3.5 feet, or stay near 3 if pruned in pots.
