Further InformationEdit Edit

The Pimenta de Paolo is a hot chili of the species C. annuum, measuring 30,000–80,000 SHU — roughly 10× hotter than a jalapeño. It belongs to C. annuum, the most widely cultivated pepper species, spanning everything from sweet bell peppers to jalapeños, cayennes, and poblanos. Its pods take a round/tomato/cherry/marbles form, measure 1–2 inches long, with medium thick flesh, and grow pendant on the plant. The plant grows to 24–30 inches tall. Its flowers are solid white/cream, its foliage is green leaves. It is recorded as originating in Brazil.
