It is distinct from both the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion and the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T — tested at approximately 800,000 SHU by the NMSU Chile Pepper Institute. "Scorpion" peppers take their name from the pointed tail resembling a scorpion's stinger.
