Capsicum cardenasii is the ulupica of Bolivia, gathered wild around La Paz and Cochabamba and sold by the handful. Pea-sized round pods, deep red, hot enough that one seasons a dish, on a plant with purple flowers. It crosses readily with C. eximium and C. pubescens.
