This C. chinense cultivar. Ripens to brown/chocolate, habanero-type pods with wrinkled skin skin. Packs 400,000–1,000,000 SHU (extremely hot, in superhot territory). Originates from Trinidad & Tobago. The 7 Pot lineage from Trinidad has produced more superhot variants than probably any other pepper family.

How hot is the 7 Pot Rusty?

The 7 Pot Rusty measures 400,000–1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), making it a superhot pepper — roughly 130 times hotter than a jalapeño (which tops out around 8,000 SHU).
