Further InformationEdit Edit

Morita ("little blackberry") is a chipotle — a smoke-dried ripe Jalapeño — smoked for a shorter time than the meco type, leaving it softer, fruitier and a deep reddish-brown. It is the common supermarket chipotle in much of the US and is the form most often packed in adobo. Small and wrinkled, with a fruity, smoky heat around 2,500–8,000 SHU.
