Thunder Mountain Longhorn × Jalapeño
We always want more photos of Thunder Mountain Longhorn × Jalapeño. Every photo you add is credited to you.
A medium-heat C. annuum from Mexico, 4,000 to 8,500 SHU. The pods hang down, over 5 inches long, green going to red, long and thin with medium-thick walls. Plants reach 24 to 30 inches with white flowers.
Thunder Mountain Longhorn crossed with jalapeno. It looks mostly like the Longhorn, though shorter, and one plant in a 3 gallon pot gave over 100 pods. Good for anything, including powder.
Universal Pepper Nomenclature
One code for one pepper, no matter what people call it. Universal Pepper Nomenclature sits behind the names people use and describes the pepper itself: the species, the color it ripens to, its skin, the shape of the pod, and how hot it runs. The last three digits tell apart peppers that match on all of that.
Six parts, always in this order, always split by hyphens. The WikiPepper Foundation board issues every code. Editors cannot create or edit a code.
