McMahons Texas Bird
The McMahons Texas Bird is a hot chili of the species C. annuum var. glabriusculum, measuring 30,000–100,000 SHU — roughly 13× hotter than a jalapeño. It belongs to C. annuum, the most widely cultivated pepper species, spanning everything from sweet bell peppers to jalapeños, cayennes, and poblanos. Its pods ripen red, take a pequin/small bullet form, with thin flesh, and grow upright on the plant. The plant grows to 12–18 inches tall. Its flowers are solid white/cream, its foliage is green leaves.
